The Cle des Champs range is made to organic formulas where possible and products are adapted to each season based on traditional Chinese medicine philosophy. I tried the Autumn/Winter Masque Gommant (face scrub) and followed instructions to massage in for five minutes and then leave it on to act as a mask for a further fifteen. It contains pumpkin fibres, argan oil and Indian Chestnut Tree extracts, and honestly leaves your skin like silk. The formula feels very flexible and slippy so when it comes to massaging you feel compelled to keep on going!
I also tried the Anti-Ageing Skin Serum, which, according to the press release will reduce fine lines by 65% after one hour. Now, that’s quite a claim and as expected, it didn’t quite live up to the promise. However, you can feel your skin tautening and it leaves one heck of a glow! The premise of the serum is to provide a barrier between your skin and the elements using Beech Tree Bud and essential oils and I can quite believe that this is achieved. Lastly, I used Moisturising Face Cream – have to say, I didn’t love the smell – it was a bit ‘hempy’ to me, but I can’t fault the texture or the satiny feel it left on my complexion. It contains chestnut, Muscat rose oil, cinnamon and fruit oils.
Cle des Champs is a premium range at a premium price point (£59 for the scrub alone), but if you’re after sheer luxury that feels amazing and delivers noticeable skin results, it’s the one for you. Because it is so hard to find in the UK, I’m linking directly through to the one place I’ve found it on sale: www.thewhiteroom.com
