b.right Radiant Skincare by Benefit: Refined Finish Facial Polish Review
Ahh! This has all the right things I look for in a skin polish. A creamy formulation, a proper exfoliating effect with grains just the right side of rough and skin that feels softer and smoother after using. Ticks all the boxes, basically. Its got clay and seaweed extract that is rich in minerals and nutrients so you get some kind of skin benefits as well as a good ol' scrub. It's got a semi-luxury feel to it - by that I mean it doesn't act like the poshest scrubs I've ever used but by no means is it bargain basement. At £17.50, it's on the pricey side, but I wouldn't feel I'd gone over budget by buying it.
In the course of testing Refined Finish, I accidentally used b.right Triple Performing Facial Emulsion as a cleanser (it's a moisturiser) and ended up getting some in my mouth while washing it off. It was the bitterest thing I've ever tasted. That experience had me sitting in the bathroom tentatively tasting all sorts of facial beauty products, most of which are sweet, I find. Nothing else tasted quite as vile as the Facial Emulsion. If someone gave you a peck on the cheek just after you'd applied, it would be a kiss to remember. I realised that eating your beauty products in the name of research is teetering on the edge of sanity, but actually I found it quite interesting that mainly, beauty products don't taste that awful.
